    The ANALYSES & SURFACE laboratory can engineer and oversee innovative collaborative projects implementing the experience gained since 1993 on materials and aging..


    The 4 major themes addressed are:

    - In situ monitoring, experimental characterization, understanding and modelling of aging mechanisms,
    - The durability of materials and defect risk analysis,
    - A more specific aspect of materials aging: the evolution and characterization of surface conditions,
    - And finally, the study of material means of protection.

    Under the CRT label (Technological Resource Centre), the laboratory is CIR accredited (Research Tax Credit) as part of its activities.

    We network with partners capable of providing a complete value chain for R&D projects, and several collaborative projects have been carried out since 2009.

    Some examples of the topics covered:

    Metallurgy / Aerospace Industry:
    Study of the diffusion of oxygen in a layer of silica in a sol-gel application in order to evaluate its protection characteristics for aircraft alloys.

    Wind power sector:
    Study the evolution of a corrosion phenomenon under a coating following an initial defect after its repair.

    Automotive / Building - New Agro-materials Sector :
    Study of the aging resistance of new materials for automotive or construction applications.

    Food Industry:
    Validation of new methods of sterilization of food products in order to confirm the lack of impact on the foodstuff.
