    MECHANICAL CHARACTERIZATION: Microstructure, hardness of materials, abrasion resistance, etc.


    Mechanx²ical tests are used to determine the behavior of materials and identify their mechanical characteristics. These characterizations are used to ensure that the structure of the material will be tailored to the use of the final part and thus overcome any possible defects or breakages in operation.

    The laboratory’s equipment allows us to determine the following characteristics:

    • Determination of the grain size,
    Sizing of the HAZ (heat affected zone)
    Hardness of materials (Vickers, Rockwell, Brinell, Knoop, Shore),
    • TABER abrasion resistance,
    • Tensile testing,
    • Etc.
