A private laboratory specialized in the analysis, testing and failure analysis of materials since 1993

The 6NAPSE Group laboratories measure the hardness of materials by nano-indentation.

Nanoindentation responds to the limitations of conventional durometers by “miniaturizing” the measurement. The forces applied are very low, allowing for small and very localized analysis zones and penetration depths.

The ability of the technique to operate on materials of very different types favors its application in various industrial fields: aeronautics, pharmaceuticals, automotive, medical, etc.

It further identifies mechanical characteristics intrinsic such as Young’s modulus.

Coupled with an optical microscope, nanoindentation allows hardness measurements to be made on grains in a metal, particles or inclusions of around one hundred micrometers, without environmental impact.
